Jordan Partners' name is a tribute to the Appalachian community where our Co-Founder's family has lived for generations.
A once-thriving mining town in the mountains of Virginia, Jordan Mines traces its origins to the early 1800's, when speculators discovered the iron-rich soil of Appalachia. The community flourished alongside growth in the steel industry until the early 20th century, when its mines were abandoned in favor of larger, more efficient mills elsewhere. Only fields remain.
Jordan Mines is a reminder of our small town roots and of the need to navigate ever-changing markets.
